FAQ for the virtual mRNA Health Conference
How and why did conference organizers make the decision to host a virtual conference in light of the COVID19 Pandemic?
The organizers main concern is to protect the health, safety and well-being of the participants and sponsors. During these difficult and challenging times, a digital conference is the best way to bring the mRNA community together and to grant everyone flexibility in accessing the scientific content, while complying with health recommendations.
What can I expect from the new virtual conference format?
A compact but highly interesting live program. The talks will be available on demand until 30th November 20
free of charge for everyone who is registered for the conference. This will allow every registered participant to re-view any missed talks or sessions on demand.
Will the virtual conference take place at the same time as the original conference?
The virtual conference will be streamed live on November 9 – 10, 2020. All the sessions indicated on the program will be based on Eastern Standard Time (EST).
How do I register for the virtual conference?
Registration can be done online on the mRNA Health Conference website: Online Registration.
You will receive an email with your log-in data on Monday, November 9th, 2020 until 6 a.m. (EST)

Do I need any specific tools or software to attend the mRNA Health Conference 2020?
No specific tool or software is required to attend the mRNA virtual conference.
The only requirement is an internet-capable end device (PC or laptop, tablet, smartphone) and a stable internet connection.
What if I cannot attend a certain session?
All sessions and lectures will be available on-demand until the end of November free of charge for everyone who is registered for the conference.
How does the Q&A work?
There will be a tool beside the livestream, where you can place your questions. Please note that you will have to exit the full screen mode in order to enter your question here.
How can I get updates about the virtual conference?

Will there be an exhibition?
There will be a virtual exhibition area.
Will there be a poster session?
There will be an e-poster terminal where all posters can be viewed, the authors will have the possibility to upload an audio description of the poster (max. 2 minutes) and the authors contact data can be found.
I have paid the registration fee but am not able to attend the virtual conference. Will I be refunded?
All cancellations and amendments must be submitted in writing to the conference office by e-mail to mrna@interplan.de. Cancellations received in writing prior to October 9, 2020 will receive a refund of the registration fee (minus $ 35 processing fee). No refund will be given after this date – however, an alternative participant’s name may be submitted until October 31, 2020.

I have already booked my accommodation in Boston and want to cancel my travels. Whom can I contact?
If you already booked a hotel room at the Boston Park Plaza, please contact the hotel directly regarding your cancellation (https://www.bostonparkplaza.com/contact). If you have booked your accommodation privately, please refer to your travel agency and/or online booking provider for possible reimbursements. Thank you very much in advance.
